Backers included Active Partners, and female angels such as

- Karen Kerrigan, COO at MoneyBox
- Phillip David Burton, COO at Bloom & Wild
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Founded by Alice Bentinck MBE and Matthew Clifford MBE, Code First Girls provides coding courses for women in the UK. The company has already enabled 80,000 women to learn to code and by working with companies globally, to boost employability, diversity and social mobility, and transform local economies and communities.
Existing partners include NatWest, Goldman Sachs, Ford, BT, Deloitte and Skyscanner.
