In November 1994, Mr. Shankar Raman embarked on his journey with the L&T Group, contributing significantly to the establishment of L&T Finance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary. Over time, he took on broader responsibilities, assuming a pivotal role in overseeing the entire finance function at the Group level, which included functions like Risk Management and Investor Relations.
Elevated to the position of Chief Financial Officer of Larsen & Toubro Limited in September 2011, Mr. Shankar Raman’s leadership in finance was further acknowledged with his appointment to the Board on October 1, 2011. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Management for several companies within the L&T Group.
Mr. Shankar Raman’s exceptional contributions have not gone unnoticed, with multiple prestigious awards to his credit. He has been honored as the Best CFO of Asia in the Industrial Sector by the renowned Institutional Investor Magazine based in New York.
