Supratim Dutta assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer at ITC on September 5, 2020, following his accreditation as a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant. With an extensive tenure of nearly 30 years within the Company, he has showcased his expertise in various senior capacities across business finance operations and corporate functions. Additionally, Supratim has actively contributed to industry bodies, notably serving as the Chairperson of the Finance and Banking Committee at the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Appointed as a Wholetime Director on the Board of ITC starting July 22, 2022, Supratim Dutta holds diverse responsibilities. As a key executive, he oversees Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit, IT Functions, and the Investment Subsidiaries of the Company while concurrently maintaining his position as the Chief Financial Officer. His extensive journey at ITC, which began in November 1990, has seen him excel in various finance roles, both at the business and corporate levels.
Before assuming the role of CFO, Dutta served as the Corporate Financial Controller, steering Accounts, Taxation, and Finance operations. Prior to that, he held the position of Executive Vice President – Corporate Finance, where he managed Corporate Treasury, Strategic Planning, and Corporate Planning Functions. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated proficiency in diverse financial aspects, including Planning, Treasury, M&A, Accounting, Taxation, IT, Investor Relations, and business strategy. A member of the CII National Committee on Financial Reporting and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development CFO Network, Supratim Dutta is actively involved in shaping financial reporting standards.
Presently serving on the Boards of ITC Infotech India Limited, Surya Nepal Private Limited, Russell Credit Limited, and WelcomHotels Lanka (Private) Limited, among others, Supratim Dutta continues to play a pivotal role in steering the financial success and strategic direction of the Company.
