Tandem PV, a San Jose, CA-based company which specialized in perovskite solar technology, raised additional $6M in funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $27M, was led by existing investor Planetary Technologies, with participation from new investor Uncorrelated Ventures, as well as executives from a variety of corporate sectors and Tom Werner, former chairman, president and CEO of SunPower Corp.
The company intends to use the funds to advance research and development with plans to build its first manufacturing facility.
Founded by its CTO Colin Bailie and Chris Eberspacher, and led by Scott Wharton, CEO, Tandem PV is committed to the production of solar technology suited for broad-scale deployment. Its design boosts the output of conventional silicon solar cells by stacking them with thin-film perovskite materials that absorb different wavelengths of sunlight.
A heartfelt congratulations to Tandem PV on securing an additional $6M in funding! 🌟💡 This impressive achievement is a demonstration to the value and potential of your innovative solutions. Wishing you continued success as you utilize this funding to drive forward your vision. Here’s to the next phase of growth, development, and making a lasting impact! 🚀💼 #TandemPV #FundingSuccess #InnovationJourney
